Masergy has announced a new range of SD-WAN Work From Anywhere solutions, as the software-defined network and cloud provider looks to better cater to home working needs.

The additions extend the firm's Managed SD-WAN Secure solutions to the remote workforce, supporting network connections with built-in security, dual-link redundancy, load balancing and dynamic traffic steering capabilities.

As a result, Masergy says businesses of all sizes can now provide their home workers with the same secure and reliable cloud application performance available to office workers.

"Masergy's Work From Anywhere solutions serve as just the latest example of how we are leveraging our cloud and network platform to serve businesses and employees regardless of their location," commented Terry Traina, CTO at Masergy.

"When resources must be available anywhere and data must be secured everywhere, Masergy is uniquely positioned to meet the needs of multi-cloud, work-from-home companies."

The new Work From Anywhere solutions include SD-WAN Secure Home for executives and power users that require "unwavering reliability" from their home office connections, Masergy said.

With a lightweight Fortinet Secure SD-WAN device, the solution offers quick connectivity and improved application performance when using a home internet connection. It also boasts a next-generation firewall, direct connections to an ecosystem of cloud services, as well as secure access service edge (SASE) cyber security capabilities.

In November, the firm is also releasing SD-WAN On the Go, a new multi-platform software client and VPN that leverages IPSec tunnels and next-gen endpoint protection to enable secure remote access to corporate networks.

The additions provide a zero-touch-provisioning experience for easy setup, one unified client portal for simplified management, as well as product bundles that incorporate UCaaS, Wi-Fi enabled video phones and comprehensive security services.

Security provider Fortinet, which teamed up with Masergy to deliver the Work From Anywhere solutions, said SD-WAN should be able to be deployed anywhere to "enable today’s increasingly mobile workforce".

"Masergy and Fortinet have partnered together to deliver Work From Anywhere solutions that take a security-driven networking approach–combining networking and security into a single solution–to enable the remote workforce," said John Maddison, EVP of products and CMO at Fortinet.

"Through our differentiated solutions, we can deliver flexible, anytime, anywhere security for emerging SASE use cases."
