HP for Education 2020 (HPfE), HP's market leading programme of impactful educational solutions for teaching and learning, best in class channel tools, special pricing and sustainable trade-in, has enjoyed phenomenal success since its launch at BETT in January, with the programme on track to enjoy its most successful year ever.

During just the first six month of this year's programme, over 500 new schools have registered, a 30% uplift compared to entirety of the programme to date.  This validates that the updated programme resonates with schools and is closely aligned with their priorities.  It is the first year that the programme has been entirely managed by Consenna, the leading consultancy specialising in sales effectiveness programmes for global IT companies.

In its eighth year, HPfE is comprised of three key pillars: HP Tech Trade In which enables schools, colleges and parents across the UK and Ireland to trade in older hardware to receive cash or, uniquely, ‘Staff Room' credits towards the purchase of new teaching and learning solutions; HP for Education Specialists who advise and assist schools and colleges as well as sharing ed tech best practice; and HP Learnability which supports lower-income families to spread the cost of a student computing device.

Furthermore, HPfE 2020 has been significantly expanded with the inclusion of a ‘HP Learning @ Home' feature on the HP for Education website to provide support for educators, students and parents during the unprecedented and sudden shift to home learning.

The enhancements have been well received as Roger Dixon, IT Technical Director at The River Learning Trust, comments:

"As a trusted partner of so many schools, HP for Education has stepped up to provide an invaluable guide that supports teachers both adapt to the use of technology for remote teaching, as well as provide a rich library of free resources from trusted partners that support those teachers to continue delivering the curriculum in exciting and engaging ways."

Commenting on the success of the programme this year, Paul Thompson, Commercial Director at Consenna, adds:

"The increased attention the impact of technology has on teaching and learning had already led to a significant improvement of the HPfE programme.  However, the shift to home learning caused by the Covid-19 pandemic further amplified this need and we're delighted the enhancements we've led have been so favourably received by whole school communities.

"The support of HP's leading education partners has been pivotal in elevating the programme so significantly.  Many have embraced the value and impact of the enhancements we've made which has undoubtedly enabled them to engage more effectively with schools and colleges at such a challenging time."

The impact of technology on improving outcomes for young people and educators is well documented.  When developing HPfE 2020 prior to launch, Consenna engaged with selected HP education partners in a series of workshops to ensure it delivered the necessary support and tools to those partners, to maximise its value and success.

A key participant of this year's programme is respected education solutions provider, European Electronique.  Commenting on their engagement, CEO Yolanta Gill adds:

"The tools and support materials that form the virtual staff room within HPfE instantly appealed to the educators with whom we engage and when coupled with the offer of access to HP's School Transformation Specialists, the overall HPfE proposition is very compelling.  Our sales team find the responsiveness of the HPfE programme team to be a real competitive advantage.

"It is, however, the speed with which the programme pivoted once schools were closed and the wealth of bespoke online resources available, that makes HPfE stand out in the ed tech marketplace."

Neil Sawyer, director of channel at HP with responsibility for the HP for Education programme, said:

"HP places significant importance on this programme as we seek to support educational establishments effectively implement technology for their students.  We're constantly striving to find further improvements so that the teaching and learning experiences of our education communities are enhanced, and we're committed to going further still.

"Education has faced significant challenges during 2020 and we're delighted the combined efforts of Consenna, HP and our channel partners have enabled us to adapt in such a way that has met, and often exceeded, the expectations of educators and students across the UK and Ireland."
