Logicalis rings the changes

Channel player updates its executive line-up days after undergoing a corporate rebranding

Football fans will be all too familiar with the idea of a fresh manager bringing with them a raft of trusted and hand-picked backroom staff.

Something similar has happened at Logicalis, with recently appointed UK managing director Alex Louth solidifying his management team.

In a move that is also popular with football fans, Louth has chosen to bring back to the firm some former staffers as part of the reorganisation, with some familiar names now on the org chart.

Louth joined in May last year and has been developing his team, bringing back former staffers including Chris Gabriel (see box below). Louth joined Logicalis from managed services provider Data Intensity, where he spent two and a half years helping to integrate his former business, Red Stack, after it was acquired. His CV spans more than two decades in the channel.

“I am really pleased we’ve been able to retain and attract some incredibly talented and experienced people into the executive leadership team, including some former Logicalis figures who are returning to the company,” said Louth.

“We now have a firm vision in place for the organisation, and are committed to continuing to deliver excellent business outcomes for our customers by harnessing innovative digital technology.”

But Logicalis has been doing more than reshaping its executive team, and earlier this month announced a change to its brand positioning to promote itself as “Architects of Change”.

The Logicalis executive team

  • Alex Louth, UK managing director
  • Mark Lewis, finance director
  • Chris Gabriel, director of technology
  • Tracy Venter, managed services director
  • Chris Wilson, sales & practices director
  • John Foote, customer success director
  • Jen Molyneux, HR director

As well as a fresh strapline, the business has also given its visual identity a refresh and made sure its key vendors and customers are up to speed with where it is going.

Mark Rogers, CEO at Logicalis, said the branding was able to be “immediately resonating across our customers, partners and employees” and it underlined the firm’s view that transformation creates positive opportunities.

“It perfectly encapsulates our company view that transformation provides opportunities and we believe we are well placed to help our customers unlock these possibilities,” he said.

“As Architects of Change, we strengthen our purpose – to design, support and execute our customers’ digital transformation by converging their vision with our technological expertise and knowledge of the industry. The brand refresh underpins both the evolution of Logicalis’ positioning as well as our strategic vision for growth.”
