Channel roundup: Who's gone where?

No sign of the job moves slowing down with some more changes happening across the industry over the course of the last week

It's been another busy few days in the channel with firms looking for some fresh blood to support their growth ambitions.  Here are a few of the appointments across the industry that caught the eye in the last week.

ESET

David Mole has become UK channel director at the security player working with a strengthened team that has more account managers to deliver support and training for partners. “I am thrilled to have joined ESET at this exciting time. What attracted me to ESET is the sheer level of focus we put on customer service – our partners, regardless of their size, have a dedicated contact from someone here within the team. This is a real positive for the thousands of partners that make up our community," he said. 

Travelport    

The travel industry specialist has turned to the former CFO of Sophos Nick Bray to come on board in the same position. He has more than two decades worth of industry experience and a track record of delivering growth. “Nick has impressive commercial and growth credentials. He has extensive international and operational skills combined with significant public company and private equity experience. We are very much looking forward to him joining the team in this new era for Travelport," said Greg Webb, CEO of Travelport.

 Solon Management Consulting    

The firm has decided that former CEO of BT and chairman of Salesforce Europe Gavin Patterson is an ideal person to join as a senior advisor. "From a strategic and operational perspective, by helping clients understand regulations, infrastructure and operational improvements for the digital era, I would like to make sure they are ready for the future changes that will happen in the industry," he said.

The managed services provider has turned to Musa Aykac to become head of digital with the role including a brief to increased the online presence and search visibility. Aykac knows the business well, having worked for the last couple of years a as a contractor on the website. “My role will play a major part in its future success. The first interaction a potential customer will have with any company will be the website and digital acquisition engine. It is at this crucial point where you can win or lose business without even speaking to a single person," he said.

Zerto    

The IT resilience specialist has give Nick Burke the chance to make a difference as its regional sales manager for the UK and Ireland. He joins the business after a recent spell at Nutanix, where he was UK enterprise sales director. His CV stretches back over a couple of decades and includes some time also at EMC. “We are thrilled to have Nick heading up the sales team in the UK and Ireland,” said Ziv Kedem, CEO at Zerto. “His experience will be an invaluable asset to the Zerto team, and his proven ability to build and maintain cohesive, effective teams will help us build on the recent successes in partnership and customer growth.”
