Channel roundup: Who's gone where?

A busy week with lots of announcements of fresh faces taking up roles across the industry

The fourth quarter is well under way but there are plenty of firms still on the lookout for the personnel with the magic touch. Plenty of movement over the last seven days as some fresh blood is introduced to help firms get the growth they are after. 

 

Citrix   

The name Bronwyn Hastings will be one for the firm’s channel partners to memorise as she steps into the role of senior vice president, worldwide channel sales and ecosystem. She joins Citrix after an eight-year spell at SAP and also has a decade and a half at Oracle on the CV. Her brief will cover partner sales worldwide, go-to-market partner programs and partner marketing for all the vendor’s products. “Citrix has a compelling vision for the future of work,” said Hastings. “I am eager to collaborate with our incredible community of partners to provide companies with the solutions and services they need to make this vision a reality.” Diane Fanelli, who has served as the interim global partner sales lead for Citrix since July, will work side-by-side with Hastings to ensure a seamless leadership transition before assuming a new, strategic leadership role in the worldwide sales and services organisation January 1. 

Avast  

The firm has shuffled its management pack with Daniel Parks being promoted to sales director for U.K. and Rest of World and Thomas Hefner becoming sales director for the DACH and Benelux regions, Parks joined Avast in 2016 from AVG Technologies and was previously responsible for managing distribution, partner and direct channels at Avast over the last four years. Hefner has over 25 years of experience in channel sales management, most recently at Avast Business where he has held senior positions for the DACH region in the last four and half years. 

CityFibre  

The fibre infrastructure player has appointed Judith Felton to lead the service specialist and customer service teams to deliver the businesses’ processes and models, in order to achieve greater customer satisfaction. She comes with 16 years worth of experience in the Industry, including at Vodafone and most recently Cadent Gas. “I’m joining CityFibre at a truly exciting time as they continue to merge the operations of their businesses, while maintaining superior standards of customer service and satisfaction. As an employee who has been through a similar merger process in the past, my key objective is to utilise my previous experience to deliver a seamless transition for both our customers and staff to ensure the customer experience at all times,” she said. 

Vectra    

The security player has made a double appointment with Jennifer Geisler joining as chief marketing officer (CMO) and Jodi Sutton as vice president of business operations. “As we continue to transform threat detection response for enterprises migrating to the cloud, enabling the building of next-generation security operations centers and communicating the value of transforming cybersecurity with artificial intelligence is more important than ever,” said Vectra CEO Hitesh Sheth. “Furthermore, we recognize that for our next phase of growth, operational discipline is key to our success. I am very pleased to bring these talented executives onto the Vectra leadership team as we scale our business globally.” 

Calabrio   

Josh Jabs has come on board as Chief Technology Officer, reporting to President and CEO Tom Goodmanson. He will be responsible for delivering the firm’s solutions as well as overseeing product development, engineering and cloud operations. Before taking the role he had notched up a nine year stint at Entrust Datacard where he held roles ranging from general management of multiple business units to leadership over emerging technologies, strategic marketing and alliance programs. Prior to Entrust Datacard. His appointment means that former Calabrio CTO Brian Humenansky will join the office of the CTO as Chief Architect. 

Cohesity    

The data management player has turned to a former Veritas and Hitachi Data Systems staffer, Michael Cremen to come on board as chief revenue officer.  “Michael has proven success building high-performance sales and partner organisations worldwide and consistently delivering strong results,” said Mohit Aron, founder and CEO, Cohesity. “He has lived and operated in many regions of the globe, and this coupled with his deep knowledge of our industry promises to have an immediate positive impact on our business domestically and abroad. We are thrilled to have Michael as part of our executive leadership team.”  

DXC Technology    

Steve Turpie has been appointed as vice president, client account management, in the IT service firm’s region covering UK, Ireland, Israel, the Middle East and Africa (UKIIMEA). He comes with a CV that includes time at QBE Insurance Group and Zurich Insurance as well as Cable & Wireless. “Steve will be an important addition for DXC in UKIIMEA,” said Mike Salvino, DXC’s president and CEO  “We are upping our game on client account management as we enhance our focus on clients, and Steve will be critical to that mission. His extensive experience on both the buyer side and account side of IT services will bring a unique perspective on how DXC can better deliver for our clients.” 

Kaseya   

The MSP tools specialist has given Ronan Kirby the nod with the chance to make an impact as president and general manager EMEA. Before making this move he was vice president EMEA for NGINX and before that was managing director at digital engagement company, MOR Solutions and spent over a decade with Red Hat during its formative years. “Ronan’s experience as a business leader coupled with his technical expertise and in-depth understanding of technology marketplaces makes him ideally suited to this role,” said Fred Voccola, CEO, Kaseya. “He has an outstanding track record of success growing businesses within the software industry and brings with him over 20 years’ experience building and leading sales, business development, marketing and go-to-market teams for some of the world’s most innovative companies.
