Customer service software firm Zendesk has announced a new value-based partner program, as it looks to provide the skills, tools and support partners need to improve customer engagement.

The three-tier initiative has been designed to enable partners to build industry-leading customer service practice, rewarding competencies and results with a comprehensive certification program and incentives, Zendesk said.

This new approach allows businesses to engage in multiple business models based on their unique strategies and skills, the provider explained, with the framework allowing them to create a combination of services to suit a specific opportunity.

"Customer expectations are at an all-time high, and we do our best work helping our customers meet their customer's expectations when we work hand in hand with our partners," commented Ricardo Moreno, vice president of Worldwide Partners at Zendesk.

"We recognise that significant evolutions are underway in the traditional partner model, and we look forward to growing our partner ecosystem and helping our partners deliver better customer experiences."

The Zendesk Partner Program has also been fine-tuned to offer significant growth opportunities for the partner ecosystem, including cloud service providers, systems integrators, VARs, outsources, consultants, developers, as well as IT professionals.

Whether partners are looking to earn revenue through delivery of Zendesk products and services, find new opportunities with existing clients, or deliver value-added services, the firm said its revamped scheme delivers the tools and resources to open up new revenue streams.

"Partners are looking for vendors that are easy to do business with and show them the best path to profitability," commented Kevin Rhone, director of Channel Acceleration at The Enterprise Strategy Group. "Zendesk gets it and created its new program with all the right elements that nail these two critical aspects."
