Nutanix appoints Cyril VanAgt as new EMEA channel lead

Enterprise cloud computing vendor Nutanix has announced the appointment of Cyril VanAgt to lead its channel and OEM activities across Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Promoted from his previous role of southern EMEA chief, VanAgt will now oversee all Nutanix's go-to-market relationships with resellers, distributors, regional system integrators and technology partners in the EMEA region, delivering the capabilities required to deliver the firm's technologies.

Specifically, the new channel chief will be responsible for driving the Nutanix Channel Charter, a strategic initiative designed to strengthen the company's relationships with the reseller community.

Empowering businesses to succeed throughout both the sales cycle and their own customers' technology lifecycles, the scheme enables all participants to compete in the modern era of multi-cloud needs and capabilities, Nutanix said.

VanAgt first joined the vendor back in October 2014 and has since overseen Nutanix channel sales across the southern European territories of EMEA. Over four years, he structured the Nutanix distribution network and was successful in building a strong channel ecosystem in the area.

The resulting organisation established by VanAgt ultimately enabled the readiness and autonomy of the firm's channel partners across France, Italy, Iberia, Switzerland and French-speaking Africa – turning the region into a model for collaboration between Nutanix and its network, the company stated.

By 2018, VanAgt's responsibilities were expanded further with the addition of OEM and alliance partner management, Nutanix added.

"I am delighted to have Cyril lead our Channel and OEM operations in EMEA," said Sammy Zoghlami, Nutanix's senior vice president of sales for EMEA.

"These relationships are critical routes to market for Nutanix and its solutions, and Cyril's vast experience in technology partnering and implementation, will see these partners gain maximum benefit and value from what these innovative products have to offer them."
