Cloud service provider iland has announced the expansion of its global channels sales programme, complete with revamped cloud computing tools and new Canadian data centre.

Following a successful transformation which has seen its annual channel revenue double, the firm said the new additions will help it capitalise on demand for its secure cloud offerings, as well as substantial partner growth.

Built on proven VMware technology, iland’s services are designed to help SMEs that lack the resources and expertise to deploy, test and manage their own cloud-based disaster recovery, backup and infrastructure systems.

With the provider’s new channel programme, businesses now have access to a new partner portal, expanded opportunities for North American partners courtesy of its new Canadian data centre, as well as a cloud assessment tool help with the planning and management of cloud workloads.

Channel partners will have three options: refer a customer to iland and collect recurring commissions; resell island services; or include the provider’s platform as part of a larger service offering.

“The iland global partner programme serves customers across six continents who are moving to the cloud for the first time or expanding their infrastructure across a complex hybrid cloud environment,” commented Koorosh Khashayar, vice president of iland global channels.

“iland provides the tools and expertise to make the migration to the cloud safe, simple and painless, while helping partners open doors to new opportunities and creating new revenue sources with existing customers.”

With the new partner portal, resellers have access to a single and customisable source for training courses, certifications and marketing toolkits – designed to help identify new leads and close sales.

The new Canadian data centre will also provide access to iland’s full suite of Secure Cloud Platform services, which include disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS), Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and backup as a service (BaaS).

Partners can also take advantage of the updated Catalyst cloud assessment tool to help simplify the journey to the cloud. The complimentary feature determines bandwidth and capacity needs when customers are transitioning for the first time or planning for future workloads and demands, the firm explained.
