Zerto has announced the appointment of David Macmillan as its new vice president of EMEA, as the digital transformation firm looks to continue its success across the region.

Macmillan takes charge of the enterprise sales teams for EMEA, tasked with leveraging his knowledge and experience to build upon the company’s current success and drive further growth.

“I am thrilled to be joining such an innovative company, especially at a time where so many businesses are choosing to migrate to the cloud for more flexibility and less business disruption,” Macmillan said.

“I am looking forward to working with the well-established EMEA team, understanding the challenges our customers are facing and leveraging Zerto’s unique technology to drive digital transformation across the region.”

Macmillan arrives at the position with a wealth of experience, having held various EMEA and global sales leadership roles at high-growth organisations across a period of 35 years.

Most recently, he held the position of senior vice president, general manager of EMEA at MuleSoft, having previously been SVP of global sales at Jive, as well as other senior sales leadership roles at Initiate and IBM.

“We are at a critical time where our customers are evolving, embracing the cloud and looking to partner with a vendor that is always thinking one step ahead of them on this journey,” commented Ed Carter, chief revenue officer at Zerto. “I am pleased to welcome David to the Zerto team as he brings with him the experience and skills required to do just this.

“Working closely with our EMEA team and partners, David will provide local insight and drive our engagement with customers in the region around what they really need.”
