CTERA and Exponential-e join forces for secure edge-to-cloud file services

Cloud security

Cloud service provider Exponential-e has announced a new partnership with CTERA Networks to provide businesses with secure edge-to-cloud file services.

With a renewed focus on unified data management, modern content collaboration and continuous data protection, the collaboration aims to deliver new opportunities for the increasing number of organisations embarking on cloud transformation.

The move will see CTERA’s technology integrated into Exponential-e’s S4 Cloud Object Storage to help enterprises dramatically lower costs of storage.

Modern and scalable in design, the service provides users with local access to their ‘hot’ files, while delivering effective Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) by shifting other data to S4 buckets.

Ultimately, the private, dedicated and multi-tenant cloud architectures will better serve customers concerned about data privacy and sovereignty to move to the cloud, Exponential-e said.

“From a customer perspective, we established that working with CTERA enables us to support them in optimising their total cost of ownership (TCO) for data management and storage, whilst delivering a rich range of enhanced features to drive increased collaboration and enhanced data security and protection,” said Jonathan Bridges, Exponential-e’s chief innovation officer.

Using CTERA’s technology, Exponential-e will deliver a suite of secure multi-cloud services that include: high performance global file service delivery, remote office/branch office (ROBO) hybrid cloud NAS, private file sync and share, endpoint backup and data protection, as well as centralised global storage infrastructure to reduce TCO.

As a Dell EMC Cloud Service Provider and Strategic Outsource, the firm said it can also enhance and extend cloud-ready solutions such as hyperconverged infrastructure with managed global SD-WAN services.

“We love seeing more MSP partners benefit from the business value they get from the CTERA Files service platform,” commented Michael Amselem, VP of sales for Europe at CTERA.

“Our promise for a secure Cloud transformation stands together with Exponential-e's mission to modernize the IT for their customers and we are thrilled to see that some have already chosen our technology to achieve their imperative transformation."
