WANdisco wins co-sell status with Microsoft One Commercial Partner Program

Business partnership tree puzzles

WANDisco has gained Microsoft One Commercial Partner Program co-sell status, which means it can now package its Fusion Live Data Platform with Microsoft's Azure cloud platform and tools.

The company said it was awarded the status after fulfilling various criteria such as integrating WANdisco Fusion with Microsoft Azure Databox and Azure HD Insights. WANDisco's partner managers will work closely with Microsoft's field sales teams to co-sell the bundles to hybrid cloud prospects.

“This is another exciting development in our relationship with Microsoft and significantly expands our sales channel opportunities," David Richards, CEO and co-founder of WANdisco, said. "Our new Co-Sell status is another validation of our go-to-market strategy and helps to ensure the most effective route to market for our technology.”

The partnership means Microsoft's Azure customers can take advantage of WANdisco's Fusion continuous data replication technology across both on-premise and cloud environments for their on-demand data analytics and offsite disaster recovery implementations.

Using the two solutions together means customers can save costs, while also benefitting from guaranteed data consistency and continuous availability, WANDisco explained.

“We are seeing significant demand from customers who want to expand their on-premise data lake into Microsoft Azure,” said John Chirapurath, general manager of data platform marketing at Microsoft. “WANdisco Fusion enables continuous data replication for Microsoft Azure and HDInsight customers who also want to maintain on-premise consistency at scale.”

WANDisco has a long history of working with both Microsoft and the company's partners. At the end of January, the hybrid cloud company, it announced it would be using Microsoft partner Bytes Technology to co-sell its Fusion migration platform with Microsoft (and other cloud providers') products and services.
