Cloud Distribution signs two vendors to new infrastructure play

Data centre mainframe

Cloud Distribution has built out its business by creating a Datacentre Infrastructure (DCI) team to offer a multi-vendor cloud offering, adding Accelstor and Actifio to its vendor portfolio to kickstart the service.

The DCI team aims to help partners create multi-vendor data centre solutions and offer advice via access to a team knowledge base. It will be made up of staff in the sales, technical, and marketing teams to offer partners a well-rounded, go-to resource when bulking up their data centre portfolios.

“We are really proud to have made this step towards creating our own centre of excellence, as it facilitates additional growth opportunities for both our reseller and vendor partners. The new DCI team complements the existing cyber security solutions (CSS) and networking solutions (NS) teams,” Bruce Hockin, director of DCI solutions at Cloud Distribution, said.

New partnerships with Actifio and Accelstor mean partners can offer a wider variety of vendor solutions, while for the vendors, it means a wider market reach.

“Our channel partners are critical to establishing a fast-growing, profitable company that is changing the game through our Enterprise Data-as-a-Service proposition," Alexander Downham, EMEA channel manager at Actifio, said. "Cloud Distribution are in a strong position to support us in that plan, by extending our reach and value proposition across their extensive partner network."

Accelstor's technical sales director, Stefan Ferrari, added that working with Cloud Distribution to sell its all-flash storage arrays will offer new opportunities to help businesses take digital transformation of big data applications seriously.

"We are excited to be making this partnership with them and their DCI team," he added.
