Head of UK&I alliances and channels, Oracle

Which tech figurehead do you admire the most, and why?

Larry Ellison - Pride and passion, combined with visionary thought leadership and laser-focused business execution is inspiring to all both at Oracle and across the technology sector as a whole.

What's the biggest challenge facing the industry that no-one is talking about yet?

How to get Oracle cloud technology to solve to issue of getting a warm cup of tea beside your bed the moment you wake up.

If you could invite three famous people to dinner from history, who would they be?

One of my favourite questions! For THIS week's dinner party I would invite:

Alan Turing (the inventor of the computer)

Douglas Engelbart (the mother of all demos!)

Marshall Mcluhan (The predictor of the worldwide web)

How has 2017 been for you?

Phenomenal! Being part of the Oracle Cloud hypergrowth is the most exciting and rewarding place to be at the moment!

What's the most extravagant business lunch you've ever had?

In Bermuda, onboard a yacht, watching Oracle Team USA in the America's Cup in July 2017 with incentive-winning Oracle partners. It got messy as we drowned our sorrows when Team USA came second.

Which global city best matches your personality?

London - intense but fun!

What would be your superhero power?

Wishman. To be able to give everyone in the world one wish. But I would also need the power to veto that wish!

Complete this sentence. The worst thing about our rivals is…

How GOOD they are! But that is also the BEST thing!

What makes you nervous?

Oracle Partners not being able to appreciate the massive Oracle Cloud potential!

If you could eat one type of food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Mashed potato. One day I will invent a machine that makes different types, styles and favours of mashed potato. Every kitchen will have one. It will take over from the kettle and toaster.

How would you sum up the channel in three words?

Changing, clouding and exciting!
