Redcentric chief exec stands down to pursue other interests

Director of company

Redcentric's chief executive, Fraser Fisher, will step down from his role later this year so he can pursue other business interests.

However, neither the company, nor Fisher would reveal where he would be going or whether he would be joining another firm in a similar position to the one he held at Redcentric.

The news comes less than a month after it was revealed the FRC has extended its investigation into alleged inaccuracies in the reporting of Redcentric's financial information in 2015 and 2016. Rather than just investigating into the conduct of the company, it will also look into the actions of an individual.

It hasn't been revealed who the individual involved in the investigation is or whether Fisher's decision to leave the company is related to the investigation.

"On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Fraser for his loyal service to the company for the past 14 years and for his leadership of the business in the recent difficult times and wish him well for the future," said Redcentric Chairman Chris Cole.

Fisher is due to leave the company at the end of the year when Redcentric finds someone else to fill the role of chief executive.

During his time at the firm, Fisher helped grow its turnover to more than £109m in the most recent financial year.
