TeamViewer offered on Alibaba Cloud

TeamViewer has partnered up with Alibaba Cloud to help the business scale faster across the globe, offering its remote access remote support and online meetings software to the cloud computing business' customers.

The partnership means TeamViewer will be available to Alibaba Cloud's 2.3 million customers, including its 765,000 paying customers, presenting a profitable opportunity for the software firm.

The deal also means Alibaba Cloud's resellers and partners will be able to present the TeamViewer opportunity to their own enterprise prospects, helping TeamViewer grow into new territories where Alibaba Cloud may be operating, both in its native Asia and beyond.

"Partnering with Alibaba Cloud will give us a tremendous scale by making our software accessible to their 2.3 million customers,” said Alfredo Patron, Vice President of Business Development at TeamViewer. “Hundreds of millions of TeamViewer users already enjoy our easy-to-use software – and the new partnership makes our products available to even more users on Alibaba’s huge community.”

It would seem Alibaba is pushing forward its Clooud arm hard, with the company also announcing a partnership with Software Defined Network biz Megaport earlier this week. That deal will see Alibaba's customers gain direct access to the cloud via Megaport's global SDN.

"Megaport’s extensive global footprint is strengthened by our partnership with Alibaba Cloud," said Vincent English, Chief Executive Officer of Megaport.

"Direct, dedicated access to Alibaba Cloud’s services adds value to our platform," he said. "This partnership enables customers globally to directly access services from the leading cloud provider based in China. Partnering with China’s largest public cloud provider aligns with our strategy to enrich our Ecosystem and provides greater service options for our customers."
