Huawei is looking to strengthen its UK channel proposition with the additional of a new partner incentive programme, product promotions and new sales tools for partners.

“Partners are a key element of Huawei’s UK strategy, and have been for the past 15 years that Huawei has operated in the UK and Ireland...We have not only been able to celebrate this great relationship but we have announced exciting new plans to continue this relationship,” comments Gordon Luo, chief executive of Huawei UK & Ireland at the vendor’s UK channel conference (pictured).

“We are excited by the initiatives announced…and are sure they will assist our partners in growing their business with Huawei,” he added. “Western Europe is a key region for the company to expand its global presence, and the UK is one of the most strategic markets for Huawei within it.”

Last year the Chinese vendor revealed plans to grow its channel in Western Europe by more than 40 percent across, and has now confirmed a 42 percent increase after recruiting more than 300 new partners across the region.

Elsewhere Huawei recently reiterated its commitment to the channel at its annual Huawei Analyst Summit, held in the company’s hometown of Shenzhen. Speaking to assembled journalists from around the globe, Joy Huang, VP of Huawei’s IT Product Line, said: “The channel is very important, this is why our strategy is to be integrated.”
